 IT is sad that some high ranking officials in the go­­vernment do not know the roles and responsibilities of the office they occupy. Some of these officers need to go back to school and learn public speaking and diplomacy.

WHO is responsible to get the bridge at the Correctional Services at Boram in East Sepik fixed? The broken bridge has been in that state for some time now and it seems the back road will become the new road.

THIS issue has been the topic of discussion for a while and the Kundiawa-Gembogl MP Tobias Kulang has hit the nail on the head. While we talk about tougher penalties for small people, what about the people involved in corporate crime? They are the ones who are depriving Papua New Guineans of means to better economic life and opportunities.

THEY are stealing money and the people who are supposed to have access to better health services and better infrastructure are dying because of lack of accessibility. What are we going to do about those people who are causing systematic death and misery in our communities?

WARNING! A fellow colleague almost got robbed K230 worth of mobile credits. She received a text from the mobile company informing her of a K50,000 windfall from its promotion with instructions on how to claim the prize. Smart, she called the customer service to verify. She was told they had no such promotion.

ABOUT a year ago, the National Capital District Commission said as much as they wish to patch potholes in the city immediately, the materials they used needed warm climate so that the repair work could last. So, while we wait for the warm climate to hit the city, we are getting more rain and the potholes are getting bigger.

ONE posting that caught our attention in the social media was from Donald Bibaesi to officials in the office of Moresby Northwest MP Michael Malabag and Governor Powes Parkop. If road upgrades and resealing have being earmarked, when can city residents expect work to start on roads in the Burns Peak, Hohola and PNG Power areas? The roads are in shambles and pose a threat to our security, not to mention hazard to vehicle owners.

ANOTHER interesting post on Sharp Talk. In the traditional days when there was no proper clothes, many women and children (girls) were living as they were unlike today, yet there was no such incidents (ie rape). The females walked and lived freely without fear and intimidation from the males.
