Commission to release findings
KEY findings of the Provincial Expenditure Review 2014 by the National Economic and Fiscal Commission are expected to be released this week.
This will be at the Highlands region workshop which started yesterday in Mt Hagen, Western Highlands.
The theme of the two-day workshop is “game changer”.
Chairman and chief executive officer of the National Economic and Fiscal Commission Hohora Suve said the theme was about being responsive to political, economic and strategic changes because provincial budget appropriations were higher than before in 2014 and would continue to grow this year and next year.
Suve said the commission had recognised the trends in how goods and services were funded across provinces. Provinces sometimes use development grants to fund goods and services.
