Committee presents activities by Eda Ranu

THE Port Moresby Wastewater Management Improvement project (Powamip) joint coordination committee met on Friday and presented a progress of activities carried out by Eda Ranu.
The Powamip has been implemented by Kumul Consolidated Holdings (KCH) on behalf of the Government and jointly funded by the Japan government through its international corporation agency (Jica) and the PNG Government.
The project aims to improve the sewerage system project in the city.
Jica team chief adviser Masaki Shinkawa, while briefing the team on project monitoring, mentioned that flow of work had slowed due to the merger with Water PNG.
However, Eda Ranu managing director Raka Taviri said work should not be delayed but continued as Port Moresby was a business city.
