Committee receives K30,000 for show

THE Mt Hagen Cultural Show committee was given K30,000 yesterday in preparation for the August event.
Tininga Ltd managing director Pat Duckworth presented the cheque to the show manager John Bonny in front of the Tininga Hagen Central mall.
Duckworth said Tininga, as a company with roots in Mt Hagen were proud to be associated with a notable event like the Mt Hagen show.
He said the show celebrated the unique cultures of the country particularly of the Highlands.
“Tininga has gained confidence from the effort the show committee made in 2018 to restore the iconic event and we are renewing our partnership for the 2019 show,” he said.
“I hope the committee will be able to take the event to the next level and the whole country and particularly Western Highlanders can be proud of.”
Duckworth said the show was one of the special events that would help the people maintain their culture and pride.
Bonny thanked Tininga Ltd for the support and promised to make the show more colourful and meaningful.
