THE Government has been praised for increasing its funding to the districts.
Daulo peace and good order committee chairman Rasis Kink Gondorave thanked the Government for giving priority to the rural districts where the bulk of the people lived.
“For the first time since independence, we are seeing so much been given to the districts, where the people are seeing physical and meaningful development taking place,” Gondorave said.
He said the silent majority in the rural areas was feeling the changes brought by the Government on public service delivery.
“The people need good roads, improved school and health infrastructure and good economic activities through Small Medium Enterprises activities, which is what the Government is promoting.
“Therefore we really need to support the Government and even re-elect them in the 2017 general election,” Gondorave said.
He urged Daulo MP Ron Ganarafo to remain with the Government because the people of Daulo needed improved roads, bridges, schools, health centres and the rehabilitation of coffee plantations and factories.
Daulo district has the most coffee plantations in Eastern Highlands.
