THE Permanent Parliamentary Committee on public accounts will hold an inquiry into the operations of Kumul Petroleum Holdings Ltd (KPHL) since its establishment, committee chairman Sir John Pundari says.
Sir John revealed this in Port Moresby yesterday and invited the general public to provide information that would be important to consider in the inquiry regarding operations of the national oil and gas company.
“Prior to holding the inquiry, the committee is putting out an open invitation to the general public, interested stakeholders, former and current employees of this organisation and any other person individually or in groups wishing to assist the committee to provide information regarding the operations of Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited to the committee,” he said.
“Any information provided to the committee will strictly be confidential and the committee has already summoned KPHL for certain information in its inquiry.”
Sir John said the committee would also be holding inquiries into other public bodies, institutions of the State and private corporations dealing with public funds and properties.
“The committee will continue to invite the general public to provide information regarding it’s inquiries of public bodies, institutions of the State and private corporations dealing with public funds and properties.”
