Communique to end youth ministers’ forum

 A COMMUNIQUE will mark the end of the caucus forum for youth ministers from 54 Commonwealth countries in Port Moresby. 

The communiqué will detail recommendations and outcomes of the one-week conference and bring up the ministers’ meeting message to Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2013 which will be held in November.   

Recommendations from stakeholders and the youth leaders meetings were presented to the caucus yesterday.

Secretary-general of the Commonwealth Secretariat Kamalesh Sharma said the suggestions from the ministers and others would be looked into and included in programmes for youth development in Commonwealth countries.

The meetings started on Monday with a youth leaders’ meeting.  

Sharma said the plan was to launch the Commonwealth Youth Council to be made up of representatives from Commonwealth countries.

The next CYMM in 2016 will be held in Africa.
