MOROBE Governor Kelly Naru has allocated K20,000 for the renovation of a community hall in the Wau local level government.
Ward 13 in the Wau LLG approached Naru to renovate the community hall which has been neglected for more than 10 years.
Administration officer Alfred Pecker visited the ward on behalf of Naru.
“Service delivery is the Governor’s aim. He is encouraging people to talk about any issues affecting them and any new projects that will benefit the community,” he said.
Pecker suggested that the renovated hall should be named after the late mayor of Bulolo, Temu Kuaweto.
“He was an outstanding leader.”
Ward 13 councillor Peter Tom thanked Naru for the help and support.
“I thank Morobe Governor Kelly Naru for listening to the people’s request. This hall is an important place where the people of Ward 13 can come together as a community to hold meetings and discuss issues.”
