TELIKOM will face MJ Electrical U-Mi Yet in the NCD Volleyball Association women’s premier game of the weekend at Taurama Indoor and Aquatic Centre on Saturday.
This will be the their second match in NCD Volleyball Association after moving over from Fairfax Volleyball Association last weekend.
Included in the Telikom lineup are Madia Hairai, Kemmy Manoni, Alice Ito, Bibiana Palowa, Jenna Bernard and setter Frankie Daton.
Their opponents will rely on power-hitter Diane John, Maryanne Paru, Ruth Adams, Emily Ryan, Vagi Gamini and Pune Maino to dictate play, while Patricia Hani and Samuela Terence share the setting role for the team.
With quality players on both sides, this match is expected to go the full distance, with the best defending side sure to take the three points.
In the other women’s premier matches, Scorpions should overcome a struggling Vanama side, Strive Stars are tipped to win One-Six Pawa, Ela Motor’s fire-power at the net should prove too hot for Jamas to handle and Vailima will have too much class for Laudanu.
On the men’s court, Scorpions will be seeking revenge when they face Vanama in what is expected to be a tough match. Vailima should continue their winning run when they face a young Laudanu side, U-Mi Yet will be up against Telikom and Strive Stars should tame One-Six Pawa.
