PORT Moresby Nature Park plans to provide city residents and visitors with new attractions, but these depend on the generosity of business houses and individuals, general manager Michelle McGeorge says.
She said this while welcoming Pacific Rim Constructors (PRC) as the latest business to support the facility in its quest to achieve a world-class zoological and botanical parks and gardens. “I am extremely grateful for PRC’s generous in-kind donation and assistance towards excavation works.” she said
She said the number of new projects desired for implementation at the park exceeded the annual budget and commitment by the National Capital District Commission.
Area manager for Pacific Rim Constructors Mathew Best said: “We were suitably impressed with the multiple projects underway at Port Moresby Nature Park along with their evident commitment to the education and promotion of PNG’s native flora and fauna.”
PRC will also assist in building new facilities for their two species of wallabies. The company will also provide an excavator, dump truck and two operators.
