BOERA villagers in Central received office furniture and equipment from a company last Saturday.

Air Energy, as part of its community service programme, donated about K40,000 worth of furniture for buildings in the village.

Air Energy regional manager Calum Smith said as a human resource company, they were all about people and hoped that the donation would improve the lives of the villagers.

Management and staff of the company were treated to a traditional welcome and a guided tour of the Boera community to see where furniture was being used and how it would help the people.

“When we made this donation to the village, we weren’t expecting anything in return and I think what we have seen today in the village with the dances, tour and hospitality shown to us is a great reflection of what makes PNG great,” Calum said.
