SAMSUNG Galaxy has introduced new sets of mobile phones with improved camera, processor, memory and speed into the Papua new Guinea market.

Stefan Lecchi, the head of telecommunications in PNG, Pacific Island and New Zealand, said the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge and S6 edge plus had features different to other mobile phones.

He said at the launching in Port Moresby last Thursday that the company expended a lot in research and innovation development each year.

Lecchi said Samsung’s presence had been felt in PNG since Digicel came into the market in 2007.

“We partner with Digicel, it has quality network and we do a lot of marketing with them,” he said.

“Fone Haus is our distributor in PNG, so they will distribute the products to the stores and customers here.

“Each year Samsung invests a lot in innovation and research and development, and we continue to want to be at the forefront of smart phone technology.

“Papua New Guinea is a hot market.”
