A COMPANY has launched a programme to identify technology talent to tap into the digital space.
Switch Maven Ltd opened an office in Port Moresby, launching the programme to professionally develop tech talent in Papua New Guinea and deploy them on a variety of projects around the Pacific.
“We will be selecting and screening people with demonstrated technology skills and have also partnered with the PNG Digital ICT cluster to give an opportunity to workers in this sector and foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem,” general manager Valina Roga said.
The first batch of candidates is scheduled to commence this month and will be deployed at the end of the year armed with new digital transformation skills including cloud technology,
block-chain and artificial intelligence.
This programme is designed to create globally competitive software engineers that are equipped to work remotely and service a wide range of technology requirements within Papua New Guinea and neighbouring Pacific countries.
