Company on marketing drive

INFORMATION and communication technology company Datec is promoting their products to businesses in Lae.
Business services manager Dino Mausio said they thanked customers in Lae for their support since the company opened its branch there 20 years ago.
He said 60 per cent of the ICT market for Datec was in Lae. The office has 26 staff.
“We’ve been in Papua New Guinea for 33 years and in Lae for 20 years,” he said.
“We are a very small ICT company but we try to prepare people in the next step up in the ICT sector. Our strength is our people.”
The company has 250 staff members.
“Datec was the first here in Lae and through us we have assisted a lot of companies to connect to IT and do their services.
“The ball has changed in how you do things.
“It’s not all about getting business from the customers but also taking it back to customers.”
