Company working with tenants

STEAMSHIPS Pacific Palms Property (PPP) is working with its tenants to navigate challenges due to the impacts of the Covid-19.
Steamships general manager corporate affairs David Toua said the coronavirus crisis was affecting people and businesses.
“The present circumstances are challenging for all involved in our business segment, both tenants and landlords,” he told The National.
“We continue to transact business on agreed terms and are working with our tenants to navigate these uncertain times as best as we possibly can.”
Toua said due to client confidentiality, he could not give details on the terms of relief offered on rental payments.
Institute of National Affairs executive director Paul Barker said interventions to assist micro, small and medium enterprises and non-government organisations depending on public and other contributions had to entail consideration and cooperation between the state, banks and financial institutions and landlords to help keep the businesses alive, even if scaled back, to sustain employment as much as possible.
