Compulsory education will benefit all of us

I CREDIT Prime Minister Peter O’Neill, James Marape and the government for the compulsory education policy.

I do not know about the coastal people, but in the Highlands, children’s right to go to school are somewhat deprived, especially when they are made to look after  pigs  and   gardens,  collect firewood, fetch water and so forth.

Consequently, they are left illiterate and end up getting involved in drugs, homebrew and life-taking activities.

This policy will help parents send kids to school for the betterment of their future as well as for the success of the family and the country as a whole.

It is true that we need to build infrastructure before implementing this policy, but how will we know the capacity needed and the intake rate?

If  we  guess  we  will be   in trouble.

Therefore, we need to put all the children in school, take account of that number and build enough infrastructure for each school so that we save cost and help educate all our children.
