Conduct inquiry into Air Niugini

Letters

CAN Prime Minister James Marape confirm if Air Niugini is indeed bankrupt or has a serious management issue?
It appears to be unable to pay its staff on time in the last few months.
Many poor management decisions have been made and are still being made.
This is costing the airline a lot of money and running it down.
Can an independent commission of inquiry be set to look into our own State-owned airline, the management, its conduct and its operations? We cannot continue to turn a blind eye on Air Niugini’s operations and its constant losses over the years.
We cannot allow the airline to slowly grind to a halt.
We cannot allow the airline to go to the dogs.
Air Niugini is Papua New Guinea’s pride and joy.
We should set up an independent inquiry into Air Niugini.
