The National, Mondy 14th November 2011

I WOULD like to congratulate Prime Minister Peter O’Neill for achieving a lot in 100 days in office.
I read with interest your report “O’Neill pleased with priorities” (Nov 10).
The prime minister deserves the accolades and praises for bringing hope to the country by attempting to put the country back on course.
His brilliant acumen in devising amicable remedies for issues that would have brought about catastrophic effects to our nation if it was not for the Aug 2 political coup that saw O’Neill being voted in a prime minister.
I applaud his frank assessment that “his government’s achievement far outweighs the challenges”.
I commend him for sanctioning the Task Force Sweep team in a bid to eradicate corruption.
The team has so far arrested nine people for misappropriation and other corrupt practices.
I am sure many taxpayers and business houses are pleased with the team’s good work.
The government’s free education policy from next year has lifted a huge burden off the shoulders of many parents.
Many Papua New Guineans are now looking forward to the arrival of the Australian federal police officers under the revamped ECP.
I wish the prime minister all the best and urge him to continue to write a new chapter in our country’s history.
