Connect PNG worth the money

Letters

CONNECTING PNG’s “missing links” will boost the country’s economy.
Money spent on stadiums could have been used on something that would have benefited the entire nation in the long term, instead of something that only those in the capital would use for a few days.
Millions could have been spent to “connect PNG”, but previous governments lacked the necessary strategic policies.
On that note, I thank my local MP, Rimbink Pato, a former minister for foreign affairs and immigration, who, in partnership with his colleague Koi Trappe (Baiyer/Lumusa), are working together to connect Lumusa (WHP) and Lowlai (Enga).
This Lumusa/Lowalai Road will help in the delivery of the Connect PNG policy under the Marape Government.
Though it’s funded by the Government and other partners, recognition of strong leadership in such a time is highly appreciated and acknowledged.
Its an eye opening for many.
Access along the Baiyer corridor and other parts of PNG too will be highly welcomed.
