ENVIRONMENT and Conservation Minister Benny Allan has praised PNG’s Ambassador to the United Nations on Climate Change Kevin Conrad for his efforts in lead-up dialogues towards the final negotiations in Denmark, in December.
Mr Allan returned from the Greenland ministerial dialogue on climate change last week attended by ministers from 29 countries.

“Kevin has done exceptionally well so far in leading and negotiating the best for Papua New Guinea and other members of the Coalition of Rainforest Nations.
“I have been with him on many international meetings and I am very pleased with his performance, especially where he was trying to negotiate for the best deal for our people who own the forests.” Mr Allan said.
He added there would be two more informal meetings before the Copenhagen conference in December.
“This is a critical opportunity for leaders to raise their stakes in Copenhagen and build the momentum for its success.”
