Miss Pacific Islands pageant (MPIP) PNG contestants visited the Port Moresby Nature Park on Tuesday as part of the lead up activities to the crowning night tomorrow.
Miss PNG and Miss Pacific Islands Leoshina Kariha said: “As cultural and tourism ambassadors, it is important for the MPIP PNG contestants to tour the Port Moresby Nature Park and appreciate what we have in the country on a large scale.”
Spread over 12 hectares of tranquil tropical gardens, the park is home to over 350 native animals and hundreds of plant species, many of which are rarely seen outside of the country.
Port Moresby Nature Park is PNG’s only internationally recognised wildlife park and sets the benchmark for tourism, animal welfare, conservation, research and community nature-based education.
