Convention aimed at strengthening family unit

A FAMILY convention was hosted by the Living Word Church of Tauruba village, Rigo in Central, during the Christmas and New Year festive period.
The event started on, Dec 17, and ended last Tuesday. The convention was based on the theme “Strong family, strong church, strong nation” taken from the Bible (Joshua 24:15).
The convention was used to teach Christians biblical principles including roles of husbands and wives, youths, young couples, parenting, effective communication, praying for children, academic excellence and work of the Holy Spirit in families and the church. Guest speaker Pastor John Bouraga said “the geography of a nation is shaped by the church”.
Celebrations on the night of Dec 31 continued to morning of Jan 1.
