Cop charged for accident, driving without licence

 A POLICE station commander has been arrested and charged over traffic accident he was involved in last Saturday.

Inspector Micah Yosman, 58, of Keka village in Henganofi, EHP was arrested and charged with one count of driving without licence, according to Inspector Philip Koliadi, who is in charge of the police section in Port Moresby.

He said the incident happened along Waigani Drive on Saturday, January 30, at around 7:30am when Yosman was on his way to work in a police vehicle. 

He said Yosman was driving at 4-Mile  when a truck travelling from Waigani to Boroko hit Yosman vehicle. The truck driver, Joas Iki, 59, from Tomba village in Tambul, Western Highlands, was charged with reckless driving and failing to stop after an accident.
