Corporate plan to be drafted
THE Governor-General’s office is working closely with the Department of Personnel Management to draw up a corporate plan for 2021 to 2022.
Governor-General Sir Bob Dadae speaking at the annual dedication service at the Government House yesterday, said the last corporate plan had expired and the new plan would include staff restructure.
Sir Bob urged the staff to be accountable in their actions.

“Be accountable for your actions – it is better to leave behind a legacy that is known for their personal integrity and honesty.
“Whatever job you occupy, as a gardener, steward, guard and in the administration of this office, count yourselves privileged and always put in your best efforts into your performance.
“Take care of public property under your care: this could be the office environment you work in, the vehicles allocated to this office should only be used for official purposes.
“The book of Colossians 3:23 reminds us that ‘whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men’.”
Sir Bob said last year was a challenging year with the threat of the Covid-19 impacting the day to day activities of Papua New Guineans, the national response and impact on the country’s economy.
“While we may not have been greatly impacted, such events are a wake up call to us to be mindful of our health and to heed warnings by authorities on the best practices to safeguard ourselves and our loved ones,” he said.
