Corrective action needed

Letters

DEAR Henry Ame, Goroka MP, some despicable things are happening behind your back while you are in court.
Take swift corrective action under the PFM Act and Public Service General Orders to protect your mandate and the integrity of your Office.
A council manager is colluding with an LLG president to access funds not approved by the District Development Authority (DDA).
Penalise for insubordination, fraud and false pretence.
A blatant and shameless attempt was made to misappropriate K800,000 from the Mt Sion sewerage project to the Apoga treatment plant.
Was the work approved by your DDA?
K800,000 for removing water lilies is inflated and laughable.
Can you afford to let the greed and mismanagement continue?
A contractor without Civil Engineering qualifications or civil works experience was doing the patch work on the town roads recently.
The quality of work is a disgrace and the holes are back.
Are you and the DDA aware of this?
Did Goroka Urban LLG approve it?
If not, ensure that this get-rich-quick band aid scheme is stopped.
Goroka may be dragged into a situation where funds are accessed or spent on projects not pre-screened nor captured in the district, provincial and MTDP III plans approved by National Planning.
This will land you and the DDA in hot water with Richard Maru.
For the sake of good governance and corruption elimination, why not write to Maru for them at National Planning to be identified and reprimanded?
It is in your political interest to take out an advertorial to clear the air on the above.
Voters trust you as an honest leader with integrity and standards.
You have credibility and believability that money, beer and lamb flaps cannot buy.
Cut out corrupt people and practices that sour the voters’ perception of you and your Office.
An independent poll shows that you will retain your seat in a by-election or in 2022.
However, continued association with corrupt people or letting off questionable practices will create a perception of indecisiveness and push voters away.
