Council meet in town

 THE Pacific Games Council Executive Board is currently in Port Moresby.

They arrived on Tuesday and will be here until Sunday. 

The PGC Executive Board chaired by Vidhya Lakhan of Fiji kicked off the visit with a two-day meeting which started yesterday. 

They will also meet with the Pacific Games Authority as well as the Games Organising Committee during  this visit.

The Games Organising Committee will be presenting a Status Report on the preparations of the Games with an update on the progress achieved for the construction of the Games Venues.

The PGC Executive Board will also tour the main Games Venues to assess the progress first hand.

They will also be participating in the All Sports meeting to be held tomorrow with 28 Technical Delegates appointed by the respective international Federations to oversee each of the Sport on the Games Programme.

The PGC will also be reviewing arrangements for its annual General Assembly which will take place from July 3-5 this year in Port Moresby.

The General Assembly will have representatives from each of the 22 Pacific Games Associations who will be participating in the 2015 Pacific Games in July next year.
