GAME two of the Suburb of Origin is set to be staged this weekend, and the high-flying Country Maroons face a solid test when they take on neighbours the City Blues tomorrow.
Suburban league chairman Bosky Koke commended Telikom PNG for sponsoring the series with K5000, saying the assistance would allow them to present prizes after game three.
“Game one was played two weeks ago at the Kone Tigers Oval where the Country Maroons won,” Koke said.
He said the game would be used to select a team to represent the league at the Southern zone trials which are expected to be staged in the first week of August.
“After the Southern zone trials, our third origin game will be played on the third week of August,” Koke said.
