Country records two more Covid-19 deaths

NATIONAL Pandemic Response Controller and Police Comm David Manning said in a media release that deaths were reported in Morobe (a 53-year-old woman) and in the National Capital District (NCD) (a 57-year-old woman).
To date, NCD has recorded 66 deaths; Eastern Highlands – eight; Jiwaka and Milne Bay – five each; Morobe six; West New Britain and Western Highlands – three each; West Sepik – four; Western; East Sepik and New Ireland – two each and Enga – one death.
Also as at noon on Monday, 80 cases were reported from 13 districts in seven provinces.
The nation’s capital reported seven cases; Morobe – two; East New Britain – five, the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (AROB) – six; East Sepik 25, Milne Bay – six; and, Manus 29.
PNG’s Covid-19 cases now stand at 10,915 with 107 deaths. All 22 provinces, including AROB, have reported cases. A total of 8,773 people have recovered from the Covid-19 while 2,035 cases are active within the last 14-day period.
Globally, the total confirmed cases is 147,780,801 including 727,419 new cases.
The death toll is at 3,122,449 including 9,940 new deaths.
