THE Waigani Committal Court found sufficient evidence against a man charged with possession of stolen property and illegal use of a motor vehicle to send him for a trial.
Terrence Bulingu, from Wosara in East Sepik, will face trial in the Waigani National Court on the 31st of this month. He was charged with one count of receiving stolen property and illegal use of a motor vehicle in Port Moresby.
The court heard that on Oct 28 last year, Bulingu was at Vision City when he was allegedly given the key of a stolen vehicle by a teenager.
The court heard that the accused knew the vehicle was stolen but went ahead and drove the vehicle out of the Vision City car park but was apprehended by police.
The court heard that on Oct 31 last year Bulingu gave information about his other accomplices after he was questioned by police.
Police then went to the accomplice’s residence at Gerehu Stage Seven and apprehended him.
The court was told that Bulingu’s accomplice was identified as John Pasi, 38, from Rigo in Central province.
Magistrate Mekeo Gauli told Bulingu that evidence against him was sufficient to have him stand trial.
