GEI Guni Raga has resumed work as the Central provincial administrator after a court ordered his reinstatement.
During a thanksgiving ceremony yesterday at Konedobu, he said: “The court case is over”.
He said he remained the provincial administrator with Robert Agarobe the governor.
“So let’s not waste time and get back to work. This will be a new beginning of good things to come,” he said.
Raga said agriculture was top on the list of projects.
“The province has a lot of good fertile land. It is the government’s priority to help people register their land for agriculturalactivities.
“Cultivation of land for growing crops and farming will put money into people’s pockets and keep them occupied.”
He told public servants to pull their socks up and do to their best.
He has discussed with Agarobe the relocation of the provincial government office from Konedobu to a new location before the end of the year.
Raga said they were expecting big changes in the next five years under the leadership of Agarobe.
The government also plans to build its own city to empower people through small and medium-sized enterprises, partnership with developers who want to implement projects, building an airstrip and building economic growth centers to promote local growers trading.
