Court strikes out officer’s case
CHARGES of unlawful detention and assault against a police officer have been dismissed by a court because of a confusion over the evidence submitted.
Magistrate Ernest Wilmot dismissed the case of Moses Kolo after finding out that the submission he made and the evidence provided by the police did not match.
Magistrate Wilmot ruled that the charges be dismissed and his bail money refunded.
“The court has weighed and assessed information provided on the police hand up brief and the defendant’s submission (and decided to) strike out the case.”
