Covid-19 affecting global economy

Letters

TWINS Covid and Corona were born two weeks ago in India.
Political leaders, royal family members, tycoons, movie and sport celebrities and others including old and young from more than 200 countries became victims from this Covid-19 pandemic.
Within a span of four months, it has claimed more than 90,000 lives and infected more than 1.6 million people worldwide.
Countries such as Italy, Spain, UK and USA have been experiencing 500 to 800 plus deaths daily in March and early April.
Ninety doctors died in Italy.
To experience large number of deaths in a given time period or particular setting needs urgent and vigorous post mortem on the processes, procedures and protocols in managing such cases.
This must be done at prevention awareness to diagnosis and admission to acute ward and ICU to prevent further crisis in the future.
There must be a protocol in place along the process.
Every shift must be covered by senior nurses and doctors.
There must be protocol for necessary life support.
