  • The COVID-19 can only be arrested if the government is more serious about lockdown. All Public Motor Vehicles through Highways and Byways should be strictly checked to ensure that PMV’s do not carry more than the required number of passengers.

  • I agree with McLynch, Can the government enforce this law right down to every community to wear mask in public places and have some sort of fine to charge those that break this Covid-19 rules across the nation. this will cater to reduce number of reported case.

  • At this stage, there is no adherence to the covid 19 measures put in place by the controller.

  • The purpose of this Lockdown is to contain Covid-19 but here in Pom, if travel on a PMV you will see that buses are always overloading exceeding the limit of 15 passengers a Bus and the authorities concern are not doing enough to curb this practice ,so we should be really asking ourselved are we really serious about containing the Virus. This is one major contributing factor in spreading of this Virus..

  • Best natural experiment.
    So far appears OK.
mortality of about 1 per cent is acceptable.

  • Best thing to do for us to continue to remind ourselves that we are just human and there’s nothing special about us. If the virus can take so many lives overseas, we are no exception. Lets also accept the fact that the government or law enforcing agencies cannot help everyone across the country, with vaccines, control and flashy treatment facilities like they have in Port Moresby. We are basically on our own, so say your prayers and observe the covid protocols-these are simple rules but they can make a huge difference in all our lives.

  • na go stap lo ples the city is over crowded almost 70% of the population are unemployed/urban drifters.

Do not blame the controller blamim umi yet

  • The recent surge in cov-19 cases through PNG was after the GC’s haus krai where a lot of us got together to mourn our champion and later father GC MT Somare. The pandemic is contagious so it is up to one another to take precautions, as regularly preached in the mass media.

I am quite concern that we, the public are not being made aware or told the truth about the many cases of positive tests who recovered while some had not and passed on. Can the medical team tell the public why this is so. The silence is quite suspicious. Is cov-19 the only disease that is causing deaths or there are other diseases together with cov-19 that are causing deaths. Which age group is most vulnerable and which diseases with cov-19 is dangerous possible victims.
