Covid-19 hits world economy

THE Covid-19 pandemic is a public health issue which has now modified its face to economic, social, security, psychological and a media crisis.
It has turned an historic curve to shut down the globe.
It has placed governments of affected countries in an obstinate position, making critical decisions to prevent their economies from collapsing.
Like every economies in the world, PNG has succumbed to the devastating impacts of Covid-19.
The Government is obliged to pass the supplementary budget and a stimulus package help the people and business cope with the pandemic.
The government has approved a stimulus package of K5.6 million.
