Covid-19 worst pandemic in history

Letters

COVID-19 will go down in history as the worst global disaster humanity has ever faced.
This deadly virus is taking tens of thousands of lives within a short period of time compared to other illnesses encountered in human history such as HIV/AIDS.
It has swiftly overpowered first rated health care systems of developed nations in the world.
Some scientists claim the virus originated from animals while ordinary people believe it was created in a lab.
Conspiracy theories are hitting local social media creating alarm amongst the people.
Some say it is God’s anger pouring out on unbelievers.
Street preachers proclaim that Covid-19 was created in the Vatican by basing cheaply on the figure of deaths per day in Italy.
In Madang, people believe the only cure is marijuana and home brew while local herbal doctors believe PNG has the cure.
In this time of chaos, a saying of a philosopher “Everything comes from something or rather nothing comes from nothing” may provide better insights to the Covid-19 pandemic. People have their own personal judgement and explanation according to their intellectual aptitude and experience.
However, Covid-19 virus cannot come from nowhere. It must come from something.
Hence, the virus was and always been here, possibly in an isolated dormant state.
Scientists, upon evil intent, activated and enable this virus to run free.
Evidently, scientists can do both remarkable and destructive inventions.
Einstein did it with his atomic bomb that has lasting devastating impact on the Japanese people.
Beyond reasonable doubt, no one can deny that Covid-19, HIV/AIDS, swine flu, Ebola or any other destructive germs are designed and reproduced in labs.
It possibly emanates from deep feeling of hatred to suppress and control races considered of lesser degree. Hitler started World War II purposely to subject all other races under his Arian race.
Frankly, Covid-19 pandemic is World War III fought strictly in the biological realm but PNG is advantaged to withstand such disasters due to its geographical setting, diversified natural herbal plants and organic foodstuff.
The government could build on these strengths.
