CPL backs Team PNG

CITY Pharmacy Limited (CPL)Group of Companies yesterday donated 500 hygiene kits to Team Papua New Guinea for next month’s Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa.
CPL managing director Mahesh Patel presented the items to Team PNG chef de mission Emma Waiwai, and Team PNG athletes and officials in Port Moresby yesterday.
Patel said CPL was proud to partner the PNG Olympic Committee in helping the contingent maintain their hygiene during the Games, which run from July 7-20.
“This kits are worth about K10,000 which all the athletes and officials will use for the duration of the Games.
“We are here to support sports in the country and recognise this as significant part of human-resource development.
“We are backing Team PNG because we believe in the achievements’ of the athletes.”
Waiwai said she was grateful to CPL for being a loyal partner over the years.
Waiwai said it was good that CPL had supplied the kits.
“We are going to Apia to win medals. We’ve selected the best athletes on merit through our justification committee,” she said.
