CITY Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) came to the aid of the Tour Malagan cycling event from June 11-12 with assorted medicines, medical supplies and CPL water bottles.
The event is a two-day cycling competition in New Ireland spanning 171km along the Boluminski highway starting at Pam and ending at Utu High School.
The race is divided in two categories, the MTB and the road race category and is open to male and female competitors.
To date Malagan has already attracted 45 riders from Port Moresby, Ok Tedi, Lae, Kokopo, Kavieng, Manus and Australia in which both expatriates and local competitors will compete in this event.
In handing over the medical kits, CPL’s Ravi Singh said: “CPL Group is proud to donate medical items for this event because we have always been proactive in supporting sports as part of our corporate social responsibility to Papua New Guineans.”
He added that CPL would look to sponsor other cycling events in the country.
CPL Group is also the sponsor of the Port Moresby Stop N Shop Vipers for their supermarket brand,  as well as the City Pharmacy Rebels netball club for their pharmacy brand.
Tour Malagan representative Steven Damien thanked CPL for their support for cycling and promised a top event.
