THE City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) group is celebrating its 32 years of operation in the country.
Managing director Mahesh Patel started the company with wife Usha in May 1987 with co-business partner Alan Jarvis, with just one pharmacy at Garden City, Boroko.
It had four employees.
Stop & Shop marketing manager Regina Narakobi said their stores outside Port Moresby held their own “Win a share of K32,000” anniversary promotion.
“Winners are announced fortnightly,” she said.
Narakobi said the promotion in Port Moresby included City Pharmacy and Stop & Shop. Stop & Shop outlets are only in Port Moresby.
“So promotion for this is designed especially for our Port Moresby customers,” she said.
“In Port Moresby Stop and Shop and City Pharmacy, customers have a chance to win one of eight 65-inch 4K Smart TV.”
Stop & Shop fortnightly specials on grocery, fresh meat and other products are advertised every Wednesday in The National while City Pharmacy has the red hot deals which are also advertised on Mondays in The National.
“Both promotions are tied with our 32 anniversary theme,” Narakobi said. Spend K90 or more at any Stop & Shop or City Pharmacy stores to enter (in Port Moresby only).
“For our stores outside Port Moresby, a customer can spend K50 or more to participate.
“The purpose of this promotion is to commemorate CPL’s 32nd anniversary.
“At the same time, we want to reward our loyal customers with such competition.”
There is also a big promotion planned for November.
Patel said: “We are very proud to be a home-grown company in PNG.
“And especially me being here for 35 years, it really has become my home.”
