THE City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) group has started receiving orders from outside Port Moresby since the re-launching of its e-commerce website last December, according to the company.
Customer Vikki Pearson of Cairns, Queensland, Australia, had ordered baby care products for her sister Marty Kuam’s six-month-old son.
“My family is based in PNG and I was trying to look at an innovative way to send money during the lockdown when I found out about the CPL Group online store on Facebook,” Pearson said.
“The CPL online shop website has cut the long lines at the bank and shops during these tough times and made it easier to buy essential products such as baby care products, for our relatives.”
The order was done on April 23, and was made available on the same day at the City Pharmacy Kavieng branch.
Kevin Alo, CPL group’s manager for strategic marketing, said customers based outside of Port Moresby were open to order online from Jan 21 from City Pharmacy while Stop and Shop supermarket online shopping and deliveries concentrated on Port Moresby customers.
The retail group will expand its online store selection and will integrate special offers for its Real Rewards Loyalty members come mid-year.
