FOR the third straight season, Credit Corporation has continued their partnership with the Sparrows – one of the Port Moresby Netball Association’s top clubs.
Seven of the Sparrows’ nine teams made it to the grand final in their respective divisions last season, making them the best performing club of 2017.
The club’s preparations for the season, which begins on June 2, received a boost on Tuesday when Credit Corporation announced a K25,000 sponsorship.
General manager Andy Roberts said the company was proud to be associated with the club, who will have more than 100 players registered with POMNA this season.
He said the company was pleased with the club’s focus on junior development and was keen on extending the sponsorship for a further year.
Club president Lawrence Lahari thanked Credit Corporation for continuing to invest in the Sparrows, who will be fielding teams from the U10s to the premier division.
Meanwhile, Lahari congratulated new POMNA president Linda Ligo, senior vice-president Toka Aua and junior vice-president Lua Rikis on their election at last Saturday’s annual general meeting.
