MOTOCROSS is one of the major attractions of the annual Morobe show, and participation by three Australian freestyle riders this year was made possible by Air Niugini’s sponsorship.

The airline flew the three riders and their motor bikes and gear on a discounted return airfare from Brisbane.

The riders, Joel Balchin, Paterson Bowden and Aaron Guthrie, had the Morobe show goers on their feet when they performed their extremely thrilling stunts, which included wheel stands, burnouts, jumping and backflips, and acrobatic moves.

They looked dangerous.

The three performed individually and in a group and thousands cheered them on.

Team leader Balchin, who was at the Morobe show for the fourth time, acknowledged Air Niugini for its assistance.

“Our participation would have not been possible without the support of Air Niugini,” he said.

“We would love to return next year to participate in this show and we only hope that Air Niugini gives us the same support.”

The Morobe show is an annual event that attracts people from all over Papua New Guinea and overseas.
