THOUSANDS of residents flocked to the Sir John Guise stadium in Port Moresby over the weekend and last night to listen to archaeologist and preacher John Carter speak.
Since Friday, men, women and children braved the cool nights to fill the stadium to capacity.
According to organisers, attendance is expected to grow for the rest of the week.
On Saturday evening Carter talked about the wonders of the universe and the power of God as Creator.
Quoting from Genesis 1:1, Carter said that God  was creator of the universe, the milky way and the earth and that he was also the answer to individual burdens.
“You have a friend who cares about you. Feel good about the creator and be glad that God has good things in store for you.
“Step out and believe in the mighty God,” he said.
On Sunday night he talked about ancient Babylon and King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of the golden image.
Topics for the rest of the week include secrets of health, long life, prosperity and peace, is it necessary to be baptised to be saved? and spirit, demons and the occult. There will be a double session on Friday.
