Crusade stresses important role women play at home
The National, Thursday July 24th, 2014
A CRUSADE themed Light in the Darkness took place at the Afore Government Station in the Ijivitari district, Northern, last week.
It was hosted by Pastor Jack Edward from Shema Ministries whose sermon was based on John 6:1-14, the story of Jesus feeding 5000 people with five loaves of bread and two fish.
Edward stressed on how the five loaves of bread and two fish came from the house or kitchen, which is a place that is managed by women.
The bread and fish was brought before Jesus who miraculously turned the food into provisions, enough to feed more than five thousand people.
He said that this was an example of how important women are, when small decisions in their own eyes can affect multitudes when touched by God.
