Crusaders make final

 NORTHERN Crusaders booked their ticket to the grand final after their 2-1 semi-final victory over Yamaros in the Ox & Palm National Women’s Soccer League at Sir John Guise stadium on Saturday.

The Crusaders, the winners of the Port Moresby-leg women’s challenge, will now play Poro of Lae who beat PNG Power 4-2. 

The win did not come easy for the Crusaders as they were made to work hard against the fitter and stronger opposititon.

Yamaros led by international Romona Morris put constant pressure on Crusaders defence .

Yamaros scored first throughDefney Francis before the score was levelled by Daphne Flinders for a 1-1 halftime score.

In the second half, Yamaros had the wind behind them and looked dangerous but it was the Northerners who had the last laugh with Miriam Lanta kicking the winner.
