Crushed hearts

Letters

GRASSROOTS, the little and left-out ones with crushed hearts and tearful eyes, at times hope and wonder.
Will our voice in Waigani this time come to our aid in fulfilling our dreams and wishes, so that our torn hearts can be knitted and our tears wiped off?
The wishes and dreams are not as big as the so-called multi-million kina state-of-the-art facilities, highways, ports, jetties and etc.
All they need are aid posts and health centres, schools, rural electrification, roads, bridges, water supply and others.
Under difficult conditions and landscapes, funding can be made available for the construction of bush tracks and footbridges.
Where hydroelectricity is inaccessible, use a solar-powered energy source.
These are the wishes and dreams of the disadvantaged and left-out ones.
One does not require a maths calculation to make these possible but simply a heart that has compassion, sorrow, pity and love from within.
