A RESHUFFLE on positions within the PNG Correctional Services has not gone down well with other several members of the institution.
Disgruntled officers claimed yesterday that the reshuffle of 16 officers into various divisions in the CS headquarters, Bomana Correctional Institution and CS Training College was not based on merit.
The officers, who requested anonymity, blamed acting CS Commissioner Martin Balthazar for failing to follow proper appointment processes.
They claimed the reshuffle was done three days after Balthazar took office on Nov 8.
A copy of an external circular, signed by Balthazar on Nov 11, outlined the transfers and appointments which were effected the same day.
Balthazar could not be reached yesterday for comments.
