Central Dabari yesterday unveiled their jerseys ahead of their maiden season in the Papua New Guinea National Rugby League.
Dabari begin their Digicel Cup campaign with a trip to West New Britain to play fellow rookies Kimbe Cutters on Sunday.
The two sets jerseys — one for home matches (blue) and the other for away fixtures (red) — were unveiled by the players.
Franchise owner Vicky Mosin said: “I’m proud to invest in the team and the people of the province.
“We have an aim and objective to look after our players’ welfare, as committed in the packages approved as wages, match payments and travel allowances.
“You players and technical officials know that we are looking after you and must produce the best.
“This is my company’s community obligation and we are proud to be successful partners with the franchise.”
Mosin said the selectors, with the blessing of the board, had put together a strong squad of 33 players who have all signed contracts with the club.
“This is a true Central team as it represents all the districts,” she said. Former Papua New Guinea Hunters forward Adam Korave will captain the side.
