ALLEGED mismanagement of an iconic property belonging to people of Western has forced Governor Dr Bob Danaya to terminate the contract of a company which manages it in Port Moresby.
Danaya, who is also the chairman of Mineral resources Ok Tedi No.2 Ltd, received allegations of gross mismanagement on the running of Danaya Haus and instructed the managing company Mosbi City Reality Ltd to pull out.
Danaya last week advised the company in writing to cease from managing the property and provide all the acquittals and reports on the past 12 months of its engagement.
A preliminary investigation into the affairs of Danaya Haus revealed that there were gross mismanagement and lack of accountability by the management company.
The report claimed that the company failed to perform monthly inspections report, failed to provide monthly income reports, had no record of inventory of property assets and failure to provide monthly facility management report to the chairman and management of the Mineral Resources Ok Tedi No 2.
Danaya therefore advised the company to provide all copies of lease agreements between the tenants and Mineral Resources Ok Tedi No 2, all rental payments and outgoings from the date the company was engaged.
He said the Danaya Haus was an iconic investment property belonging to simple people of Western and he would not tolerate any misconduct.
