TEN of East New Britain’s dance “crews” are now getting ready to converge in Kokopo this month for an ultimate dance showdown.

It is a dance competition that  appears to be new in Kokopo and is sponsored by Pacific Industries Ltd under the Gogo Cola tag.

Gazelle International Hotel Marketing coordinator Rodney Aua said the dance competition would feature some of the most talented young dancers in the province.

The ten groups will try to impress the judges and walk away with prizes valued at K5,000.

Aua said like other competitons in other parts of the country and outside the country, those who failed to impress the judges would face elimination.

“The dance crews will have to advance through five gruelling rounds where they will be tested for their team work, creativity and precision,” he said.

It is understood that these rounds will begin on Oct 19 and end on Dec 14.

He said spectators wanting to be part of the first ever dance competition in ENB will have to buy tickets at the hotel.

The ten dance crews confirmed for the competition are: Dirty Bounce Crew, Jaadors Crew, Perfect Gental Men, VC-B,  Bullets Crew, Sub zero, Rakunai Tangible Star, KC Scars, Lunatic and Beat Breakers.

Aua said this competition was a way of providing an avenue for dance talents in ENB to come out and show their talents.
