THE Malaita Shema creative dance ministry from Papuan Compound in Lae needs support to raise funds to travel to Port Moresby during the second term school holidays.
The ministry has been performing around ward three of the Lae urban local level government supporting the Body of Christ in outreaches.
The ministry is mostly made up of children ages ranging from seven to 14 years.
The ministry was established by Ps Jack Edwards from Radio Light in 2018 when he and the Shema ministry team from Port Moresby came to Lae for a ministry outreach.
The Shema ministry’s theme is “Bringing the Gospel to the Streets” and with an emphasis on young people.
The Malaita Shema ministry is overseen by Milford Haven Primary School Avia Ovia and assisted by Maureen Mora, Jenny Maniot and four other women.
Ovia said the ministry had been supporting the Body of Christ (made up of mainline churches and Pentecostal groups) at Papuan Compound with outreach programmes at Delos market, Kona market.
